Dordrecht|Merwelanden

In 1991 the Merwelanden nature reserve in Dordrecht was chosen for the second part of a symposium in which Bulgarian and Dutch sculptors participated - the first took place in Varna, Bulgaria a year earlier. Griend-cultuur (osier-culture) was the title of this Dordrecht manifestation. Lucien den Arend had been planning a sculpture symposium in which the natural material found in the Dutch tidal wetlands with its specific plants and other natural material.
