Hoorn

The new state school combination was built on the location of a former horticulture school. Most plants had been removed for the building activities. On one small location the trees were saved. Since the level of rest of the land had to be raised, this space remained at the old, lower level. Therefore Lucien den Arend, who had been commissioned to make the proposal, suggested making a twenty meter bridge for the students and teachers.
